Hi, I’m Luna (she/her)
I am a professional Tarot reader. My reading blends elements of magic, astrology, and psychology. I practice both live readings and online video readings. When reading, I like to gather as many personal energies from the person being read to best increase the accuracy of the deck.
What I most enjoy about Tarot is the clarity it can bring us in questioning times. The cards can bring a different perspective on a situation we are going or will go through. Their flexible, but defined nature leaves us with a path that an experienced reader can interpret.
With each reading, I love to share the stories and lessons of each card drawn. I want to ensure that every person can fully understand the meanings of the cards and how it applies to their situation.
I have read for many over many walks of life (and some, indeed near its end). With each reading, I feel more deeply connected to the cards, the person being read, and the strings of humanity.

Tarot’s Origins
Divination through cartomancy has a long history stretching back six centuries. Ever since there have been decks of cards, there has been divination of those cards. One tradition known as Lenormand uses 36 cards from a standard pack of playing cards, and is older than modern Tarot!
Tarot as we know it today is largely based around the Rider-Waite Smith deck originally published in 1909. This deck was also a derivative of divination cards and decks before it, but its format was found to be incredibly effective, which is why it still stands today. The deck takes what it means to be human and divides it into 78 connected, but distinct pieces.
The classic Rider-Waite deck continues to be a popular and effective deck sold in bookstores, metaphysical shops, and online. Modern decks continue to base themselves around the same 78 cards but each with their own artistic flair, theme, and energies. Some of these decks include additional cards unique to that deck. Each deck can take on its own personality and interviewing a deck by reading its own cards is a measure to understand that deck.

What is in a reading?
1. The Question
A Tarot reading most often begins with a question. It may be related to love, to work, family, or to any situation that you would like to receive a better perspective on. There are a few cases where a question is not required and the cards will instead choose the situation. This is most commonly seen in the Celtic Cross spread.
2. The Spread
With the question in mind, a spread is chosen. A spread is a layout of cards that determine their positions, and more importantly their meanings. The spread may be selected by the reader or the readee. If the question were “How do I proceed?”, the spread might be in the shape a triangle with a card in the center. Each corner would offer an option, and the center card would provide insight on how to choose.
3. The Reading
The deck is then shuffled. In live readings, I will hand you the deck to shuffle after I shuffle. Online, I will ask for your assistance in choosing the cards from the deck. The cards are then laid out according to the spread. The first card is turned and the reading begins. I will explain the meaning of each card and how to interpret based on its position in the spread. An additional card may sometimes be drawn to clarify a vague message. After all the cards are turned, a broader picture as a whole can be told to answer the question.
